Terms of Use
Last updated October 9, 2026.
Aeonis Residency Days (the “Service”) is operated by AEONIS LLC, a Florida limited liability company, 10001 NW 50th St #104, Sunrise, FL 33351 (“we”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. Not tax or legal advice
The Service helps you record where you spend your days and compares your counts with summaries of state day-count rules and the IRS Substantial Presence Test. It is a record-keeping and information tool. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice, and it does not decide whether you are a resident of any state or country. Residency also depends on domicile, the location of your home, family, work and property, your intent, and other facts the Service doesn't evaluate. Rules change and have exceptions. Before you rely on a count for a tax filing or a move, confirm the rules with the tax agency or a qualified professional.
2. Your records and their accuracy
You decide what to log. Counts are only as complete and accurate as your entries. Location check-ins and photo imports use your device's location and simplified map outlines (U.S. Census Bureau and Natural Earth), which can place a point near a border, coast or body of water in the wrong place; review every entry. Photo dates come from the camera's clock, which can be wrong or set to another time zone. The Service doesn't verify your entries and its reports are your own record, not a certification.
3. Where your data is kept
Your log is stored in your browser on your device. If you clear your browser data, lose the device or use another browser, the log is gone unless you downloaded a backup or use Pro sync. Keeping backups is your responsibility. Pro sync stores an encrypted copy that only your sync passphrase can open; if you forget it, we can't recover the synced copy.
4. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and honestly. Don't use it to create false records for a tax authority or anyone else, to track another person without their knowledge and consent, or to scrape, overload, resell or get around the Service's limits. We may suspend access that violates these terms.
5. Updates by email
Leaving your email for Pro updates is free and creates no obligation. We'll use it only to tell you about Aeonis Residency Days, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
6. Aeonis Residency Days Pro (when offered)
Pro is a subscription sold through Gumroad, which acts as merchant of record. Plans, prices and limits are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your Gumroad receipt or library, and you keep access until the end of the paid period. Your license key is for you (Pro) or your household (Family) and shouldn't be shared publicly. Anyone with a share link can view that report until it expires or you delete it. If a subscription ends, synced copies and share links are deleted about 90 days later; your device copy is unaffected.
7. Refunds
You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period. We refund a first payment requested within 14 days, and any charge made in error. Requests: ronald@aeonis.pro.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT RULE SUMMARIES ARE COMPLETE OR CURRENT, OR THAT ANY COUNT WILL BE ACCEPTED BY A TAX AUTHORITY.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AEONIS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR TAXES, INTEREST, PENALTIES OR OTHER LOSSES FROM RELYING ON THE SERVICE OR FROM LOST DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify AEONIS LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms.
11. Governing law
Florida law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue lies in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: ronald@aeonis.pro.
