Privacy Policy

AEONIS LLC (“we”), 10001 NW 50th St #104, Sunrise, FL 33351, runs Aeonis Residency Days. The short version: your day log stays on your device, and anything you sync or share is encrypted in your browser before it leaves it.
Your day log
The places, dates, notes, check-in coordinates and photo details you log are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so download a backup if you need one.
Location check-ins
When you tap “Check in here,” your browser asks for permission to share your location. Your position is compared with map outlines inside your browser; the coordinates are never sent to us. To do that, your browser downloads outline files for nearby states or countries from our site, which tells our server only that those files were requested. We don't track your location in the background.
Photo import (Pro)
When you import photos, your browser reads the date and location saved in each photo file. The photos are not uploaded. Only the resulting day entries (date, place, file name and rounded coordinates) are added to your log on your device.
Pro sync and share links
With Pro sync, your log is encrypted in your browser with a key made from your sync passphrase (AES-256-GCM, key derived with PBKDF2). We store the encrypted copy, its size, a version number and when it was updated. We don't receive your passphrase and can't read your log. A share link contains a random key after the # sign; browsers don't send that part of a link to servers, so we store a report we can't read, plus its label, creation and expiry dates and view count.
License keys
If you buy Pro, Gumroad processes your payment and sends you a license key. When you enter it, we check it with Gumroad and keep a one-way hash of the key, your plan, the purchase email Gumroad returns, the license status, and an encrypted copy of the key so we can re-check it daily. We don't receive card details.
If you sign up for Pro updates we save your email address and use it only to tell you about Aeonis Residency Days. Unsubscribe anytime by replying to any email or writing to us.
Abuse prevention and analytics
To limit abuse we count requests per day using a one-way hash of your IP address, kept for 30 days. Our site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records page views without cookies or cross-site tracking, and Cloudflare (our host) processes standard request logs.
Campaign tags
If you arrive through a link carrying a campaign or referral label (for example utm_source=newsletter or ref=widget), your browser keeps that label in session storage until you close the tab. If you click a checkout button, the label is added to the Gumroad link so we can see which channel led to a purchase. The label contains no personal information and isn't used for advertising.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell or rent personal information and don't use it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers above (Cloudflare, Gumroad) to run the Service, or when the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
Synced copies and share links are deleted about 90 days after a subscription ends, and expired share links within about a week of expiring. You can delete your synced copy or a share link at any time. For any other request, email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold. Email ronald@aeonis.pro. The Service isn't directed to children under 13.
